Stewart Buchanan is the Eastern Hemisphere Compensation & Organisation Manager at Tenaris, a leading supplier of tubes and related services for the world’s energy industry and other industrial applications. At Tenaris, he manages the compensation, benefits and organisational structures for 26 countries, including those in the Middle East where he believes in striking the right balance between challenging and clearly articulating ideas to ensure alignment with total reward and company strategy.

Stewart originally qualified as a Solicitor in Scotland and holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) LLB. Being based in Aberdeen fueled his interest in the Energy sector and his passion for Employment Law saw him take the decision to transfer his skills and knowledge from Law and pursue a career in Human Resources. He has also obtained an MSc in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.

Prior to relocating to Dubai, Stewart was based in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Tenaris’ Global Headquarters where he worked in the Corporate Compensation function to deliver the company’s global compensation strategy across 40 countries.
