Brian is an Associate Director in Deloitte’s Financial Services Risk Advisory Practice and has over 14 years of UK financial services experience. Prior to joining Deloitte, Brian spent several years at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and its predecessor organisation the Financial Services Authority (FSA) where he gained extensive experience in specialist prudential reviews and risk management framework enhancement arrangements for banks, asset managers, platforms, exchanges and other regulated financial institutions. He was also involved in the development and review of various policy and guidance materials, and is regularly engaged in the delivery of industry briefings and regulatory training to Boards and senior management. His areas of focus include the assessment and remediation of operational risk management frameworks, governance and oversight arrangements; ICAAPs, including scenario analysis, stress testing, reverse stress testing and wind-down cost assessments; BIPRU 12 liquidity compliance; recovery planning; wind-down planning arrangements; and the proposed new prudential regime for investment firms.
