Alan Sievewright

Alan is the Deputy CFO of the Baillie Gifford & Co Group, overseeing all aspects of the Finance Department including Regulatory Policy and Prudential Reporting. Alan joined Baillie Gifford in 2016 from BlackRock where he was the Director in charge of all Financial Reporting for all BlackRock’s EMEA entities. Alan has over 10 years of experience in the Asset Management industry and has assumed the role of the Chairperson of the Investment Association working group on the new prudential regime for Investment Firms. Alan holds a Batchelor of Commerce degree from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland having undertaken his training with EY in Edinburgh.
