Alexander is a doctoral candidate in computational neuroscience and machine learning at University College London (UCL). Alexander holds a Masters in applied mathematics from the University of Cape Town. He has taught machine learning and computational neuroscience at UCL and at international summer schools. His research work focuses on translating theory and results from machine learning research into theories of learning in biological systems
