Established in 2010, the European renewable ethanol association (ePURE) represents the interests of European renewable ethanol producers at EU-level. Its mission is to promote the use of renewable ethanol in Europe by contributing in a constructive and pro-active manner to the development and implementation of EU policies and legislation that benefits both the ethanol industry and society. Based in Brussels, ePURE represents 39 member companies, with production plants in 16 EU member states, accounting for about 85% of the installed renewable ethanol capacity in Europe.
