Anselm is in-house counsel for antitrust law at Zalando, the European platform for fashion. Prior to this, he has been focusing on competition law in the digital sector for the last 10 years in different positions: as a lawyer in the Brussels office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, he mainly advised telecoms, platforms and tech companies; as a Legal & Policy Officer with the European Commission (DG CONNECT) he helped developing the Commission’s Digital Single Market strategy. Anselm has published on a number of new legal aspects of the digital world and is also the author of a novel set in the digital society. He holds a PhD in media competition law from the University of Muenster (Germany) and a master degree from the University of Oxford.
