The course takes place over 16 weeks and comprises eight core units. The units will be released every two weeks from the start of the course. Download the units or study completely online.
At the end of each unit there is an assessment that will allow you to measure your progress. If you wish to receive a Postgraduate Certificate from Middlesex University, you will also need to submit an assignment of 5000 words. The assignment will be based on an on-going case study that runs throughout the duration of the course.

Roger has a unique blend of academic and business experience. From his academic studies, all undertaken part-time whilst working, he has a PhD in Finance, a Masters in Management Studies (MBA) and a first degree in Psychology, Sociology and Economics. During the professional part of his career he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant, Company Secretary and Corporate Treasurer. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Currently, he is the CEO of his own group of companies and an advisor to a number of organisations at board level.
As a private equity investor Roger was a founding member of a technology start-up that secured a successful AIM listing on the London Stock Exchange for a dotcom company in the late 1990’s. This listed company went on to acquire a number of businesses to refocus its activities before being acquired by a private equity player. He has also been involved in advising a number of technology companies, including start-ups.
Roger has consulted to numerous non-financial companies and organisations in many countries around the World. He has also worked extensively with major banks and financial institutions, in corporate and investment banking (including private equity and venture capital). Roger has also developed and delivered tailored in-house workshops on private equity, mezzanine finance, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions across Europe, in the Middle East, China, Asia, South America and in the US for a wide range of banks, for-profit private equity organisations, development banks and sovereign funds. Roger’s courses have a strong emphasis on linking theory with real-life practical insights from over 35 years of real experience. To ensure that the material is taught and understood effectively, it is delivered in clear, easily- understood units with a strong emphasis on the private equity toolkit and its practical application.
