Hortense Bioy, CFA, is Director of Passive Strategies and Sustainability Research in Europe. Hortense leads a team that provides independent research on ETFs and index funds. Since 2017, Hortense’s responsibilities have expanded to include sustainability research in Europe. Hortense joined Morningstar as an equity ETF analyst in 2010 from Bloomberg where she was a financial journalist. She began her career as an M&A analyst at Société Générale in Hong Kong. Hortense holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Paris Sorbonne University and is a CFA charterholder.
