博士。Mazhar Bari is Senior Vice President Technology and Innovation at Siemens Saudi Arabia and Head of the MindSphere Application Centre (MAC) where he leads the Digitalization team. He is also the subject matter expert on renewable energy, energy efficiency and the Circular Carbon Economy (CCE) with P&L responsibility for driving digitalization business in Saudi Arabia.

He leads the Digitalization activity in developing Smart city, Smart ports, Smart agriculture, Industrial Energy Efficiency, Industry 4.0, CCE and smart EHS IoT solutions. Dr Bari contributed to CCE thought leadership in Saudi Arabia and gave several invited lectures on the subject. He recently presented at the G20 Circular Carbon Economy workshop on ‘Emissions to Value business potential: CO2 reduction for production of higher hydrocarbons & oxygenates’ (1st July 2020). He also contributed to the T20 policy brief titled 'Staying cool sustainably in a warming climate'. He is author of the new Siemens White paper on the Circular Carbon Economy: Critical infrastructure requirements which will be published in February 2021.

Prior to joining Siemens in 2018, Dr. Bari led a team developing the renewable energy Technology Localization and Commercialization initiative at King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE). He has held numerous leadership positions including Program Manager at the Nanotechnology Centre at Trinity College Dublin and CTO & CEO at SolarPrint Limited, a start-up he founded, that commercialized state-of-the-art dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) technology for artificial light harvesting for powering wireless devices for IoT applications. He was the Founder of Science Technology Research Partners (STREP) Limited in Ireland, where he developed several technologies and spun-out two companies.

博士。Bari graduated with an honors BSc(HONS) in Physics from University College Dublin and earned his MPhil and PhD degrees from the University of Cambridge (UK) and holds an International Executive MBA degree from University College Dublin. He is a visiting Professor at the School of Physics at University College Dublin in Ireland.

博士。Bari is the author of 10 patents and several invention disclosures, including the next generation of high temperature bulk thermoelectric nanomaterials called skutterudites which can use waste heat to generate electricity for automotive and deep space applications. He is passionate about innovation and Digitalization to help solve grand challenges.
