Bernd Leukert is a seasoned C-level technology and business leader with 25+ years of international experience and proven track record in designing, developing and delivering software and managing services and support with a strong focus on customer value.
In 1994 he joined SAP as software developer after graduating from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. Since then he has held various management positions in application development, technology development, software engineering, and process governance. In 2014, he was named to SAP’s Executive Board, with development, delivery and business responsibility for products across SAP’s product portfolio. Since 2019, he had global responsibility for SAP’s service and support offerings. In addition, he headed the strategic innovation services SAP Innovative Business Solutions and SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.
Bernd Leukert was appointed as Senior Group Director of Deutsche Bank responsible for Technology, Data and Innovation starting September 2019. He will join the Management Board of Deutsche Bank once clearance from the regulatory authorities has been granted. Besides his role at Deutsche Bank Bernd Leukert is also a member of the Supervisory Boards of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA and TomTom International BV.
