Laurent Babikian is Director of Capital Markets at CDP Europe. He started his career in 1991 working with Bank Indosuez for 10 years. In 2000, he co-founded, Start-up connexion, an incubator of technological start-ups and coached entrepreneurs to accelerate their growth before creating Corcovado in 2005, his own consultancy company specialized in seed and venture capital fund raising, for which he moved to Brazil in 2007. While in Brazil, he became one of the mentors of Endeavor, an international not-for-profit organisation aimed at developing sustainable entrepreneurship in emerging countries.
Laurent is member of the advisory board of the Low Carbon 100 index managed by Euronext and the French label Greenfin managed by the French Ministry of Environment.
Laurent is a strong proponent of sustainable finance and responsible capitalism.
