Yanique DaCosta

Creative Director at YKMD Visual Communications

DaCosta was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and came to the United States to pursue her education in 2006. She received an Associate Degree in Graphic Design, a Bachelors Degree in Studio Arts, and a Masters Degree in Media Design.

Currently, DaCosta is a passionate painter, educator, and entrepreneur, leading brand development projects that result in print, web and online, and motion graphic deliverables. Her clientele include Marriott, Norwegian Cruise Lines, HBO, Atlantic Records, and Clear Channel.

Her interests expand beyond creating, but also influencing the culture and ever-changing nature of the visual world through activism and advocacy. She currently serves as an At-Large Representative and National Board member of the Graphic Artists Guild. She is also the Guild’s representative to ico-D, the International Council of Design.
