Ross Allen, CFA, CPA, is a Senior Investment Risk Manager with Jupiter Asset Management (‘JAM’) (formerly Merian Global Investors) and is the Designated Person for Fund Risk Management for JAM’s Irish UCITS Management Company/AIFM. JAM is a UK headquartered firm with assets under of management of £55bn and offers a broad range of actively managed investment strategies.
Prior to joining JAM in November 2019, Mr Allen was the Designated Person for Fund Risk Management with Legal and General Investment Management’s Irish based Super ManCo. There he was responsible for managing the investment risks across a wide range of investment strategies including LDI, equity and fixed income (AUM ~€200bn), a position he held since July 2018.
Previously, Mr Allen spent over 7 years with KB Associates, a third party management company/consulting firm in Dublin, where he held a number of Designated Person and Director roles for UCITS and AIF structures. He began his career in 2003 and has held roles with Investors Bank & Trust, HSBC, Merrill Lynch and Macquarie Securities. Mr Allen is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified Public Accountant and holds a 1st class in BsC Management (Finance)from the Dublin Institute of Technology. He is also an active member of Irish Funds Investment Risk Committee.
