Robert has leadership responsibility for the teams providing support to our investment professionals, including: central research, risk, performance & governance, investment policy and the asset allocation framework. He joined Close Brothers Asset Management in 2014 and established a research team of 11 analysts covering equity, fixed income and macro research.
Robert has 28 years of investment experience having worked as an analyst, portfolio manager, and research head at Alliance Bernstein, UBS Asset Management, American Express and Fleming Investment Management. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Robert worked in the coal mining industry as an Energy Analyst. He holds an MA in Philosophy from Edinburgh University and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management
