Nicole Dobroski is an Assistant Chief of the Marine Environmental Protection Division for the California State Lands Commission. She has worked for the Commission since 2006. Nicole manages the Commission’s Marine Invasive Species Program. Nicole and the Marine Invasive Species Program team develop and implement strong science-based management strategies to prevent non-native species introductions to California waters from commercial vessel vectors.
Prior to arriving at the Commission, Nicole spent a year as Program Representative for the West Coast Ballast Outreach Project with the California Sea Grant Extension Program. Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Pomona College and a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Rhode Island
