Karis is an international anti-corruption and human rights lawyer. Following a career in M&A and private equity corporate governance at Debevoise & Plimpton she specializes in efficient, commercial 360 degree reinventions of the compliance departments of Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies, and forensic investigations. Her remit covers international Data Protection and Privacy, Anti-Trust and Competition Law, White Collar Crime (including bribery, corruption, fraud, conflict of interest, blackmail, AML, sanctions), Financial Controls and Human Rights.

Karis is the recipient of a variety of awards in Compliance including Compliance Officer of the Year 2018, Leader of Law Team of Year 2014, Compliance Innovator of the Year 2014 and is on the Appeals Panel of the Women’s Equality Party, a fellow of the British American Project and on the Steering Committee of the Circle which works on legal cases relating to equality worldwide (www.thecircle.ngo).
